Parna Mehrbani Speaks to First Year Law Students about Professionalism

On August 12, Tonkon Torp Partner Parna Mehrbani spoke at the opening session of the Lewis & Clark Law School Foundations of Professional Practice class. Parna, who is the immediate past Chair of the Oregon Bench and Bar Commission on Professionalism, spoke to first year law students on their first day of law school about the importance of developing a professional identity. She shared insight into what professionalism means as a legal practitioner, how to be professional in different situations and environments, and why it matters.

Parna is co-chair of the Information Privacy & Security Practice Group, and a partner in the Intellectual Property Practice Group. Her practice is focused on intellectual property, trademark and copyright registration, licensing and enforcement, and advising on intellectual property portfolios for local, national, and international companies. She also advises businesses on the management and security of personal data and the laws that regulate the collection, use, and protection of personal data.
