Michael Willes Leads Law Firm Tech Discussion for Law Firm Alliance

Tonkon Torp litigator Michael Willes moderated an online discussion on tech for the Law Firm Alliance, as part of their LFA Tech Discussion Series. The program, “Three Generations under the Same Roof: Why and How to Make the Modern Practice of Law More Technologically Inclusive,” offered an overview on how to use technology harmoniously and dynamically in a multi-generation legal workplace.

Discussion points covered: nurturing collaboration across varying legal and technological experience levels; tips for encouraging even the most apprehensive users to embrace new ways of working; and insights into leveraging generative AI, machine learning, and cutting-edge legal tech to meet client needs while maximizing a law firm’s unique strengths.

The Law Firm Alliance is a strategic and highly-selective group of business and commercial law firms that connects clients with an international network of expert firms across all major areas of law.

Michael Willes is a partner in Tonkon Torp LLP’s Litigation Department and Chair of the firm’s Technology Committee. He is also Chair of the Oregon State Bar Business Litigation Section. In each of these roles, he seeks to thoughtfully use technology to make the practice of law more efficient and fulfilling.
