Melina LaMorticella and Melany Savitt Review 2020 H-1B Season for AILA Oregon

On February 21, Tonkon Torp partners Melina LaMorticella and Melany Savitt led a CLE program for the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) Oregon chapter on the 2020 H-1B lottery season.

The attorneys reviewed the competitive H-1B program from both the candidate and employer perspective. They covered filing requirements and fees, how to identify H-1B Cap candidates, and the new electronic lottery registration system. They also provided tips for navigating tricky scenarios, post-filing issues that could arise, and H-1B alternatives. The briefing concluded with a look at how the Trump administration has impacted the H-1B program.
