PORTLAND, Ore. (April 18, 2024) Tonkon Torp LLP has appointed partner Karen Hobson as Co-Chair of its Estate Planning Practice Group, to serve with partner John Rosenfeld.

Their assistance is customized for each client and each family, applying up-to-date techniques to help clients achieve their goals.
Hobson has practiced in areas of tax, estate planning, and administration since 2008, and she is experienced in providing Oregon and Washington clients with the full array of planning and administration services. She regularly advises clients on tax planning strategies to minimize state and federal transfer taxes through the use of charitable vehicles, grantor trusts, and limited liability companies. Hobson also has experience advising on pre-formation planning, entity formation, and corporate governance issues – expertise that complements her planning practice for clients with sophisticated business succession goals.
