Supreme Court Selects Tonkon Torp Attorney for Oregon State Bar Disciplinary Board

The Oregon Supreme Court has appointed Frank J. Weiss to a three year term on the Oregon State Bar (OSB) Disciplinary Board.

Members of the Disciplinary Board serve as the trial panel that hears contested cases when the Bar has charged an Oregon-licensed attorney with misconduct in a formal complaint.  The Disciplinary Board determines whether a violation occurred and, if so, the appropriate sanction.

Weiss, a partner in Tonkon Torp’s Litigation Department, has extensive trial experience in federal and state courts as well as experience in private arbitration and mediation. His clients include regional and national entities involved in disputes in Oregon and across the country.  He is a graduate of the University of California, Hastings College of the Law and formerly served on the OSB’s Ethics Committee.
