Yalda is an associate in Tonkon Torp’s Business Department. She graduated from the University of California, Irvine School of Law in 2022. While there, she was named a Distinguished Decade Scholar and worked at the school’s Immigrant Rights Clinic. As a law student, Yalda worked at Tonkon Torp as a Summer Associate. In this role, she prepared memorandums analyzing complex legal research questions under Oregon and Washington law. She drafted corporate documents for the creation and dissolution of entities, and provided guidance on an eventual merger between a parent entity and subsidiary. Yalda also performed statute review and proposed amendments where applicable.
In 2018, Yalda graduated magna cum laude from University of Oregon with a B.A. in Political Science.
Outside of the office, Yalda takes great enjoyment in studying foreign language and linguistics. She is fluent in Farsi and is learning Turkish. She enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.

OLCC to Enact Tax Compliance Rule for Cannabis Retailers
By Ferdinand Ruplin and Yalda Bahramian – The Oregon Liquor and Cannabis Commission (OLCC) is set to adopt a new temporary emergency tax compliance rule for cannabis retailers that will be problematic for many in the industry. The rule, which is in response to Governor Kotek’s directive to make state tax compliance a requirement for the issuance or renewal of OLCC retail licenses, is expected to be enacted at the OLCC’s June 15 meeting and take effect immediately on the following day.
