Tonkon Torp represented client Gagen MacDonald, a human-focused transformation consulting firm, in its acquisition by APCO Worldwide, a global advisory and advocacy consultancy. The two industry leaders provide complementing C-suite consulting services that focus on human-centered transformation within organizations.
Tonkon Torp partners Sherrill Corbett, Jeffrey Woodcox, and Michael Millender led the transaction, supported by associates Samantha Klausen and Yalda Bahramian.
The acquisition was completed in March 2023 and realizes a long-held vision between Gagen MacDonald founder Maril MacDonald and APCO founder Margery Kraus. Their goal for the expanded consultancy is to blend respective areas of expertise and to broaden the firm’s advisory capacity to affect employee engagement, internal culture, business performance, and connection to purpose during times of organizational change.
