Tonkon Torp’s Entrepreneurial Services practice group hosted the second of three programs designed to help start-up companies understand funding issues in connection with the launch and growth of their businesses.
The program featured a panel of successful entrepreneurs who navigated their businesses from start-up to exit. Speakers included General Merrill A. (Tony) McPeak, former chairman of EthicsPoint, a Lake Oswego-based compliance software company which sold to a private equity firm in 2012; Tom Kingsley, co-founder and CEO of CrowdCompass, which makes smartphone apps for conferences, and which was purchased by Cvent in 2012; and Ken Hood, co-founder of ClearAccess, a Vancouver, WA software startup purchased by Cisco two years ago. The panel was moderated by Jeff Woodcox and Leon Simson.
