Parna Mehrbani Talks Protecting Intellectual Property for OregonAF

Tonkon Torp partner Parna Mehrbani led a session on intellectual property at an August 9 event hosted by the Oregon Entrepreneur Network as part of its Oregon Angel Food (OregonAF) program. The presentation looked at different aspects of developing and protecting intellectual property as an emerging food and beverage brand.

During her presentation, Mehrbani shared key legal considerations for intellectual property, focusing on contracts, trademarks, advertising claims, copyrights, and trade secrets. She stressed the importance of reviewing and registering IP early in the brand development process, the value of using contracts and NDAs to protect IP, and considerations for advertisements. Tonkon Torp is an annual sponsor of the OregonAF program.
