Equality, dignity, and inclusion are fundamental values in our firm and our community. It is difficult to find the words to adequately express how repugnant the recent displays of hatred and bigotry are to those values. The events in Charlottesville may seem far away, but Oregon’s past and present are poisoned with the same diseases. As a result, we must take every opportunity to identify and condemn racism in all its overt and covert forms, lest we be complicit in its propagation. To our partners and employees, clients, family, and friends who experience racism on a daily basis, and all those disgusted by its recent displays: We stand with you.
