Alex Tinker Joins Oregon Cannabis Association Board of Directors

Tonkon Torp attorney Alex Tinker has joined the Board of Directors for the Oregon Cannabis Association. The Oregon Cannabis Association is the largest cannabis trade group in Oregon. It fosters connections between cultivators, processors, retailers, entrepreneurs, and allied business, and advocates for a thriving Oregon cannabis industry.

"It's humbling to join the OCA board," said Tinker. "OCA has led the Oregon cannabis industry's transition to regulation, driven improvements in Oregon's regulatory scheme, and served as a critical bridge between stakeholders within the industry and beyond. I'm excited to contribute to the continued development of the Oregon cannabis industry through service on the OCA board."

Tinker is Co-Chair of Tonkon Torp’s Cannabis Industry Practice Group. The firm was the first among its peers to embrace Oregon's regulated cannabis industry. He represents individuals and companies doing business in the cannabis industry, and advises clients on cannabis laws, regulations, and other cannabis-specific legal issues. Tinker is a founding board member for the Resource Innovation Institute (RII), which works to increase resource efficiency in the cannabis industry. He is a frequent speaker on the evolving legal and regulatory issues impacting cannabis businesses.

Tinker’s business litigation practice includes helping clients resolve business disputes in and out of court. He represents individuals and companies on a variety of claims, including contract disputes, business owner disputes, and business torts, and he represents cannabis licensees in OLCC enforcement proceedings.
