Corbett Gordon Joins Board of Dave’s Killer Bread Foundation

Tonkon Torp attorney Corbett Gordon is a member of the board of directors of Dave’s Killer Bread Foundation, which develops programming to help employers interested in employing people who have been incarcerated and wish to make a fresh start.

Gordon provides the Foundation Board with a management-side employment law perspective on the Foundation’s Second Chance Playbook & Workshop, which includes multiple modules to answer questions by interested employers on all aspects of second chance hiring. Gordon has been concerned about issues relating to incarceration, post-release opportunities, recidivism, and rehabilitation for much of her legal career. In addition to her work with the Dave’s Killer Bread Foundation, she served for many years as Co-Director of Workforce Readiness for the Portland Human Resource Association (PHRMA), which tested and implemented a job-readiness program for recently released job-seekers.

A member of the firm’s Labor & Employment Practice Group, Gordon is one of the Pacific Northwest’s most respected labor and employment lawyers. With more than three decades of experience representing private and public sector employers in traditional labor matters, she has also defended employment cases before juries in state and federal courts in Oregon and Washington and successfully prevailed in client appeals in state and federal courts as well as before the U.S. Supreme Court.
