When Adam Adkin moved to Portland 10 years ago for law school, he made a self-care commitment to balance the long hours of school with time spent outdoors. Today, as an attorney, Adam remains an outdoor enthusiast who takes any chance he can to explore the wonders of the Pacific Northwest with his wife and young daughter. Adam’s daughter has enjoyed vistas from all around the region from the top of Black Butte, to Beacon Point, and multiple peaks in between. The next milestone for Adam’s family is to conquer camping and backpacking with a toddler! Like many of us, Adam is hopeful that the many scenic trails along the Columbia Gorge will renew and flourish after the devastating fires of 2017.
