For many decades, Tonkon Torp has been honored and proud to represent the Tonkin family and its businesses. The relationship dates back to the post-World War II era when the great-grandfather of Adam Tonkin (Ron Tonkin Chevrolet’s current General Manager) relied on his cousin Moe Tonkon, a founding partner of Tonkon Torp, for legal advice in connection with his automobile business. Since then, generations of Tonkon Torp attorneys have assisted generations of Tonkin family members in accomplishing their business, philanthropic, civic, and family objectives. In 2016, Brad and Ed Tonkin enlisted Tonkon Torp to lead the largest and most complex sale of an automobile dealership business in Oregon history. The transaction was widely reported in the automotive business press as one of the largest of its kind in the nation.
