Owen Blank Offers Key, Early Support to OAME
Owen Blank was one of the earliest supporters of the Oregon Association of Minority Entrepreneurs, working with OAME in the late 1980s to promote its mission of helping businesses owned by women and minorities. Through a program Owen facilitated in 1990, Tonkon Torp provided legal and business advice for several women- and minority-owned businesses at no cost. In 1992, as Chair of what is today the Portland Business Alliance, Owen helped to establish a formal partnership between the two organizations that endures to this day.
