Tyrone Washington, a member of Tonkon Torp’s IT Department, and attorney Eric Beach recently attended the annual Building Blocks to Success Luncheon, where they were recognized for their mentoring and volunteer work during the Lego Robotics 2014-2015 season. Building Blocks to Success is an organization whose mission is to get ethnically and gender diverse at-risk youth from North and Northeast Portland excited about Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) through exposure and participation in STEM-related programs and activities, including Lego Robotics. In addition to Tyrone and Eric’s work, business attorney Bruce Berning serves as a Board Advisor to the organization.
