PORTLAND, Ore. (September 23, 2022) Tonkon Torp attorney Josie Jeremiah has joined the Board of Directors of Portland YouthBuilders (PYB). The nonprofit serves more than 200 youths a year in a unique wrap-around program that combines high school completion, vocational training, counseling, and support. Ms. Jeremiah will provide pro bono legal counsel to the organization as well as perform board duties such as coordinating fundraisers.
“Having PYB students tell me what a gamechanger this program has been for their lives really touched me,” shared Ms. Jeremiah. “PYB has found a unique way to reach kids who have been overlooked in the traditional education system and gives them education, job training, and life skills. The significance of the program’s impact on its students is inspiring, and I’m proud to be part of the organization.”
Ms. Jeremiah is an associate in Tonkon Torp’s Business Department. Her practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, corporate finance, and other general business matters.
