Tonkon Talk Unpacks Oregon Benefit Companies

At the March 7 Tonkon Talk, Tonkon Torp business attorneys Jeff Cronn and Adam Adkin hosted a discussion on Oregon Benefit Companies. They discussed the ins and outs of organizing and operating as a Benefit Company, and used examples of Oregon companies to illustrate the benefits, and challenges, that Oregon Benefit Companies are realizing and facing.

Jeff is Co-Chair of the firm's Business Department, and is also an active member of the firm's Corporate and Mergers & Acquisitions practice groups. In his transactional and corporate practice, he counsels entities, executives and owners regarding mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, securities and financings, equity ownership disputes, and other general corporate matters.

Adam is an associate in the firm's Business Department. He works closely with clients at every stage of their business life-cycle, including corporate formation, corporate governance compliance, raising capital through private placements of debt and equity securities, and structuring ownership transitions.

"Tonkon Talks in the Pearl" is a series of lunch-hour presentations hosted by the firm’s Entrepreneurial Services Group. They are held on the first Wednesday of most months at the firm's CENTRL Office location in the Pearl District. The talks provide an overview on legal topics that impact entrepreneurs and startups.
