Tonkon Torp litigation partner Anna Sortun was elected Managing Partner of the firm, effective July 1, 2025. Sortun has a litigation practice with a focus on shareholder disputes, complex torts, and contract matters. She’s been recognized as a top Oregon trial practitioner by several legal publications, including Chambers USA. The Portland Business Journal named her a 2024 “Woman of Influence” in recognition of her industry leadership and substantial community and pro bono efforts. Sortun has been a member of Tonkon Torp’s Managing Board since 2023, and previously served as Co-Chair of the firm’s Litigation Department. She joined the firm as an associate in 2005 following a clerkship at the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and was promoted to partner in 2014. She is a graduate of University of Oregon School of Law, where she was editor-in-chief of the law review.
