Overview

Thomas Twitchell is an associate attorney in our Litigation Department, with a practice focused on commercial disputes and internal investigations. Tom is experienced in all phases of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, trial preparation, and appeals in federal and state forums.

Tom joined Tonkon Torp from the New York law firm Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer. He also served as a law clerk for the Honorable Robert Kirsch in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey.

Tom is a graduate of the New York University School of Law where he was Vice President of the Trial Advocacy Society and President of the Supreme Court Forum. During law school, he worked as an extern with the U.S. District Attorney’s Office, Southern District of New York and as an intern with the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office.

In his free time, Tom enjoys playing the cello, reading history and science fiction, and getting outdoors for runs and hikes. He maintains an active pro bono practice, most recently centered on criminal defense and immigration.
