Olivia is an attorney in Tonkon Torp’s Labor & Employment Practice Group. She works with clients to solve complex employment matters and has particular experience working with insurers on Oregon workers’ compensation issues. Prior to joining Tonkon Torp, Olivia was a litigation associate for Reinisch, Wilson, and Weier.
Olivia received her B.A. from Whitworth University, and a J.D. from Willamette University College of Law. While a law student, she worked as an extern for Northwest Justice Project and for Judge Tookey on the Oregon Court of Appeals. She also participated in Willamette’s Public Interest Law Project and Human Rights and Immigration Clinic. After law school, Olivia served as a judicial clerk for Justice Flynn on the Oregon Supreme Court.
Outside of the office, Olivia has a passion for food, international travel, trying out new recipes, and reading up on far-flung destinations.

Although the phenomenon is not new, the options for monitoring have certainly expanded. Now, businesses can choose from a wide variety of monitoring software which count keystrokes, review internet usage, track employee movements or review email communications, among others.
NLRB General Counsel Takes Aim at Electronic Employee Monitoring and Management
By Olivia Hariharan Godt and Kristin Bremer Moore – The NLRB’s lead attorney recently issued a memorandum about employee monitoring and algorithmic management. In it, the General Counsel vows to “vigorously” enforce existing law to protect worker’s Section 7 rights in the face of heightened electronic monitoring and management.
