Manuella is an associate in Tonkon Torp’s Litigation Department with a practice focused on complex litigation matters for businesses and individuals. She joined the firm from Allegiant Law where she worked on a variety of matters, including legal malpractice claims, medical malpractice claims, and cases involving the abuse of vulnerable individuals.
Manuella is a graduate of the University of Oregon School of Law where she was Executive Editor of the Oregon Review of International Law. During law school, she served as a certified law clerk in the Misdemeanor Unit at the Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office, prosecuting arraignments, plea deals, and misdemeanor hearings. She also worked as an extern at the U.S. District Court, District of Oregon for the Honorable John V. Acosta.
Born in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Manuella learned about inequality and injustice at a young age. Her family immigrated to the United States when she was a young child, eventually settling in Beaverton. Her background is a key influence behind Manuella’s work ethic as she regularly goes above and beyond in her representation of her clients and community. Clients value her for dedication, empathy, understanding, and unwavering commitment to her legal work.
When not in the office, Manuella enjoys exploring new cities, cheering on the Oregon Ducks, and spending time with her favorite people.

Manuella Tshala Joins Tonkon Torp Litigation Department
Tonkon Torp is pleased to welcome associate attorney Manuella Tshala to its Litigation Department.
