Corinne is an associate attorney in Tonkon Torp’s Business Immigration Practice Group. Her work is focused on non-immigrant and immigrant visas as well as PERM applications for employment-based green cards. Corinne is valued for her passion for and dedication to making a positive impact on the lives of her clients and community.
Corinne joined the firm from Samuels Yoelin Kantor LLP, where she tailored business structures for clients and drafted shareholder and operating agreements, as well as various court filings for business and estate litigation cases.
Prior to law school, Corinne worked for several years in the immigration field, as a paralegal and legal assistant, preparing applications for employment-based and family-based adjustment of status and non-immigration visas.
Corinne is a cum laude graduate of Lewis & Clark Law School where she was a recipient of the Dean’s Scholarship. During law school, she worked as a legal extern with Catholic Charities, as a legal fellow with the Fair Housing Council of Oregon, and as a Law Clerk at Samuels Yoelin Kantor LLP.
When not working, Corinne strives to be outdoors as much as possible – running, hiking, biking, skiing, and rowing.

FY2027 H-1B Cap Registration: What You Need to Know
The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has announced that H-1B registrations for the FY2027 cap season will open at noon Eastern on March 4, 2026, and will run through noon Eastern on March 19, 2026. The USCIS filing fee remains the same as last year, $215 per registration. Selection notifications from USCIS should come through by March 31, 2026.
Further Visa Restrictions for 75 Countries Effective January 21, 2026
Effective January 21, 2026, the Department of State (DOS) will indefinitely “pause” immigrant visa issuance for nationals of 75 countries. The administration claims the pause is necessary because applicants from these countries are more likely to rely on U.S. public benefits.
Travel Ban Update: Expanded Country List and Adjudication Pause
On December 2, 2025 and January 1, 2026, the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) published Policy Memoranda announcing a pause in processing immigration benefits for individuals from 39 “travel ban” countries outlined in the Presidential Proclamations from June and December 2025. The pause applies to, but is not limited to, benefits applications pending review with USCIS for adjustment of status, extension of nonimmigrant stay, and change of nonimmigrant status.
DHS Finalizes H-1B Weighted Selection Rule with No Changes
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has published its final rule implementing a weighted selection process for the H-1B lottery. The final rule will go into effect February 27, 2026, in time for the FY 2027 H-1B lottery and is unchanged from the Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM). While DHS acknowledged concerns raised by commenters—particularly about impacts on entry-level workers, small businesses, and nonprofit employers—it concluded that the proposed approach was appropriate and within its statutory authority.
Travel Restrictions for Nationals of 19 Designated Countries Starts June 9
The Trump Administration announced a travel ban that fully restricts U.S. entry of nationals from 12 countries and partially restricts nationals from seven additional countries. This U.S. entry ban applies to foreign nationals of the designated countries who are outside the U.S. and do not have a valid visa on the date this ban becomes effective.
