Caryl moved into a paralegal position at Tonkon Torp in 2009 after originally joining the firm in 1978 as a legal assistant. Her current focus is as a Labor & Employment Paralegal.
Caryl is knowledgeable about all areas of business litigation procedures and process in administrative, state, and federal courts. Her legal experience includes significant exposure to and familiarity with complex litigation, commercial litigation, contract and business disputes, securities litigation, antitrust, appellate law and employment disputes. She is also experienced in general business and corporate procedures as well.

In 2021, Tonkon Torp defended its client Sprinklr, Inc. in one of the largest Oregon-based commercial lawsuits to be filed in recent years. The complex case between Sprinklr and plaintiff Opal Labs began in 2017 and involved the high-end technology of two sophisticated companies offering services in content marketing.
