Allison Jacobsen

Allison is an attorney in Tonkon Torp’s Business Department, where she advises business owners and companies across a broad range of industries on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic partnerships, financings, internal reorganizations, and restructurings. She brings a practical, business-minded approach to complex transactions, with significant experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, managing and conducting legal due diligence, and advising on deal structure, risk allocation, and governance. Allison also regularly serves as outside general counsel to clients on day-to-day corporate matters.

Prior to joining Tonkon Torp, Allison practiced as a corporate attorney at Ballard Spahr. Early in her career, she represented employers on employee benefits, executive compensation, and general employment law.

Allison also served as Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Thomas R. Allen in the General Chancery Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County in Chicago. She is licensed to practice law in Oregon, Illinois, and North Carolina.

Outside of the office, Allison enjoys gardening, cooking, reading (usually about gardening and cooking), and, above all, spending time and traveling with her husband and two sports-obsessed sons.
