Laura joined Tonkon Torp in 2007 as a paralegal in the Business Law and Bankruptcy & Creditors’ Rights practice groups. She immediately began assisting the insolvency and reorganization team with all aspects of numerous Chapter 11 bankruptcies during the economic downturn.

She regularly supports clients with their ongoing business needs, is well-versed in analyzing financial data, and otherwise helps to ensure corporate compliance.

Before coming to Tonkon Torp, Laura was a paralegal at another Portland area law firm where she did corporate and bankruptcy work, including a 27 case-consolidated Chapter 11 bankruptcy for a regional hotel chain. Prior to moving to Portland in 2001, she was a corporate paralegal at a large Chicago area law firm serving mostly Fortune 500 clients in various types of corporate transactions, including lending, securities, mergers/acquisitions, and venture capital.
