Tonkon Torp attorney Will Gent has been accepted into the 2025 class of Leadership Portland, an annual program offered by the Portland Metro Chamber to cultivate and develop community leaders.
Leadership Portland is the Portland Metro Chamber’s longstanding civic engagement program, designed to help Portland professionals understand the institutions and critical issues impacting our region. Class cohorts meet monthly to explore different aspects of civic life in Portland: local and state government, public safety, land use, education, housing and infrastructure, arts and culture, and more. Activities over the nine-month program include topical deep-dives, panels, group discussions, and site visits across the metro region.
“I’m grateful for the opportunity to attend Leadership Portland and for the firm’s deep-rooted support of civic activities,” Will said. “It’s hardly a secret that Portland is at a crossroads. From downtown sidewalks to empty construction sites, there’s no shortage of complex challenges that face our region. But as the saying goes, Portland is what we make it. Through Leadership Portland, I’m excited to learn from leaders and experts from across Oregon, re-double my commitment to civic engagement, and help build a forward-looking vision for our city, county, and state.”
Since 2003, over 20 Tonkon Torp lawyers have participated in Leadership Portland – recent participants include litigators Danny Newman and Jeff Bradford.
