Tonkon Torp sponsored the September 15 State Capital Walk to Defeat ALS, put on by the Oregon and SW Washington Chapter of the ALS Association. Rocky Dallum was the lead attorney and participated in the walk with his team, Mike's Meanderers, named after his mother, Ilene "Mike" Dallum, who lost her battle with ALS in 1999. With help from many of his Tonkon Torp colleagues, Rocky’s team raised nearly $20,000. The ALS Walk itself raised nearly $78,000. The ALS Association is the only nonprofit organization fighting Lou Gehrig’s disease on every front. They implement an integrated, multidisciplinary system of care services, public policy, advocacy, and research funding.
