Tonkon Torp was a table sponsor at the October 19 benefit gala held by the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) of Oregon. Tonkon's Immigration Practice Group managed the sponsorship while Turid Owren and Melina LaMorticella (immediate past chair of AILA Oregon) worked to fill the table with Tonkon attorneys, clients, and contacts. Proceeds from the gala benefited Catholic Charities of Oregon, SOAR Immigration Legal Services, and Immigration Counseling Service – all organizations that provide legal representation to low-income immigrants, particularly those who are fleeing persecution or who are victims of serious crimes.
