Vault’s annual national rankings are based on information submitted by verified associates in the legal industry, and are a well-respected national recruiting reference for the legal community.
Tonkon Torp ranked number 12 as the Overall Best Midsize Law Firm to Work for in the nation, scoring the highest ranking for an Oregon midsize law firm. It was also selected as one of just three Oregon-based firms for the 2023 Top 150 Under 150, a Vault-curated list of leading small and midsize law firms with 150 lawyers or fewer.
In the Best Midsize Law Firm categories, Tonkon Torp earned spots in the Top 10 for Pro Bono (#3), Career Outlook (#7), Transparency (#8), and Diversity (#10). It also ranked in the top 25 for eight additional categories: Hours, Satisfaction, Wellness, Selectivity, Compensation, Formal Training, Firm Culture, and Informal Training, Mentorship, & Sponsorship.

Vault’s 2023 Rankings are derived from Vault’s Annual Associate Survey conducted from March 2022 through May 2022. Associates at law firms assessed their own firms on a range of workplace issues related to career development, job satisfaction, diversity, and quality of life.
