PORTLAND, Oregon. (July 11, 2025) Tonkon Torp LLP, one of the largest law firms in Oregon with nearly 90 lawyers and an equal number of support staff, has fully moved into its new offices at the Wells Fargo Center in downtown Portland.
“Our firm is committed to Portland, Oregon and the Pacific Northwest,” said Anna Sortun, Managing Partner. “We felt we could best provide legal services to our clients by being together downtown in the state’s largest city. The recently-renovated, LEED-certified Wells Fargo Center offers gorgeous panoramic views and will be the perfect base for our firm as we continue to grow and evolve.”
Tonkon Torp’s lease with the Wells Fargo Center is the largest new deal done in the Portland Metro area in the last three years and the firm now has the second largest footprint of any law firm in the city. The firm’s lease highlights its commitment to downtown Portland and its belief in the area’s long-term stability. With 180+ attorneys and staff coming into the firm’s new office, Tonkon Torp hopes to make an impact on foot traffic, retail sales, and the overall revitalization of downtown.
“Tonkon’s culture thrives best when our attorneys and staff are in the office together,” explained Sortun. “We know we are going against the trend of shrinking office footprints, but we need adequate space for all of us to collaborate and best harness our collective knowhow and experience. We also need space to accommodate future growth – we plan to be in Portland for at least another 50 years.”
