Tonkon Torp LLP is pleased to announce Oregon State Bar licensing for Nick Hanset, Angela Schiff, and Thomas Twitchell.
Nick Hanset joined Tonkon Torp in September 2025. He is also licensed in Washington, D.C. Hanset is an associate in the firm’s Business Department. He graduated in 2025 from The George Washington University Law School where he was an associate on the Business & Finance Law Review, a member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Board, and a tutor for Administrative Law and Constitutional Law. Hanset earned an M.B.A. from the Oregon State University College of Business and, as an undergraduate, was a double major at OSU, earning his B.S. in both Finance and Economics. During law school, Hanset worked as a legal intern with MFS Investment Management and as a legal intern with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
Angela Schiff joined the firm in September 2025 after working at Tonkon Torp as a 1L Diversity Fellow and 2L Summer Associate. She is an associate in the firm’s Labor & Employment Practice Group where she assists on employment litigation matters and advises employers on labor and employment issues. She is a graduate of The University of Chicago Law School where she was a member of the Dean of Students Advisory Council and the Labor & Employment Law Society. Prior to embarking on her law career, Schiff worked as a science and technical writer, as well as a Claims Operations Coordinator with Next Insurance.
Thomas “Tom” Twitchell joined the firm in January 2026, licensed out of New York. He is an associate in the firm’s Litigation Department, with a practice focused on commercial disputes and internal investigations. Twitchell joined Tonkon Torp from the New York office of Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer, LLP. Before practicing, he served as a law clerk for the Honorable Robert Kirsch in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey. He is a 2020 graduate of New York University School of Law where he was Vice President of the Trial Advocacy Society and President of the Supreme Court Forum. During law school, Twitchell externed with the U.S. District Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York and interned with the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office.
