Tonkon Attorneys Offer Advice on Information Security in the Internet Age

Tonkon Torp attorneys, Tatiana Perry, Steve Wilker and Craig Foster are presenting a seminar on best practices and pitfalls of data collection and processing for many companies in the age of the Internet, social media and other technologies. The discussion will also touch upon do’s and don’ts of cloud computing and data breach response.

The seminar will be held on April 11 at the Tonkon Torp offices. This is the fourth and final event in a series of breakfast meetings hosted by Tonkon Torp for businesses to learn how to legally protect their company’s ideas and products as well as sensitive customer and employee information. Previous seminars in the series addressed protection of patents and trade secrets; ownership, use and licensing of copyrighted material; trademark and domain names, and the use of social media and online advertising for branding.

Tonkon Torp’s Information Privacy & Security Practice Group advises businesses on the proper and practical collection, use, protection, disclosure and disposal of sensitive data, as well as on breach responses and privacy-related litigation.
