Tonkon Torp is proud to announce that partner Stephanie Grant is one of the Portland Business Journal’s 2024 40 Under 40 award recipients. The annual award recognizes influential business and community leaders in the greater Portland area who are under 40 years old. Selection is based on career accomplishments, business influence, leadership, and community and civic involvement.
Stephanie is one of Oregon’s leading young attorneys, working on significant cases and issues that impact some of our region’s important businesses. Her recent professional accomplishments include successful cancellation of a long-standing trademark due to abandonment, a favorable jury verdict in a federal jury trial over a fiduciary-duty dispute, and successfully settling a $100 million product liability claim that spanned 10 states and three countries for a fraction of the claimed damages.
In the community, Stephanie engages with students and newer lawyers through participation in law school and community programs, advocates for underserved individuals through pro bono work, and serves on the board of Girls Build, which inspires confidence and curiosity in girls through the word of the building trades. She is also an industry and firm leader on key issues relating to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Stephanie is a litigator and a partner in Tonkon Torp’s Litigation Department. She represents entities and individuals in a range of complex litigation matters, including product liability defense, intellectual property disputes, and contract and ownership disputes. Stephanie has extensive experience guiding clients through cases in state and federal courts, arbitration and mediation, and administrative forums.
She joins a growing number of Tonkon lawyers who have received this award in prior years, including David Forman (2004), Steven Wilker (2005), Jeff Cronn (2008), Anna Sortun (2017), and Blerina Kotori (2018).
Stephanie and her 40 Under 40 cohort will be celebrated at a luncheon on July 11.
