PORTLAND, Ore. (January 23, 2026) Tonkon Torp partner Sherrill Corbett has joined the board of directors of Street Dog Hero. The nonprofit dog rescue organization, based in Bend, Oregon, is focused on serving dogs in need around the world through rescue, adoption, wellness, spay/neuter, and community education.
“As a dog and animal lover working out of Central Oregon, I’m thrilled to join the Street Dog board of directors,” said Corbett. “I’m proud of Tonkon Torp’s long-term history supporting Street Dog Hero, and eager to be a part of their vital mission to save every dog they can.”
Corbett follows in the footsteps of partner Jessica Morgan who helped the nonprofit file its 501(c)(3) documentation in 2017 and recently concluded a three-year tenure on the organization’s board of directors.
Corbett is a partner in Tonkon Torp’s Business Department and immediate past Co-Chair of the firm’s Business Transitions Practice Group. She counsels clients on buying and selling businesses, structuring complex joint ventures, bank financings, and private placements. She especially enjoys working with women-owned or operated businesses.
