Rocky Dallum Provides Update on Oregon Legislative Session

On April 14, Tonkon Torp partner Rocky Dallum gave an update on Oregon’s 2021 legislative session to the Washington Area State Relations Group, one of the nation’s largest organizations dedicated to serving state government relations professionals. In his briefing, Rocky reviewed the dominant themes and proposed bills that survived the legislature’s committee deadline for further consideration in this dynamic session – during which lawmakers must pass a budget for the next biennium and set new political boundaries in response to the 2020 census. He shared insight into how the legislature is approaching a broad swath of topics that include COVID relief spending, racial equity, employment law issues, air and water quality regulation, data privacy, private right of action, and producer responsibility and stewardship for variety of consumer products.

Rocky is a partner in Tonkon Torp's Government Relations & Public Policy Practice Group. He provides strategic counsel to businesses, nonprofits, and trade associations on public policy issues and advocates on their behalf within the state executive and legislative branches.
