Rocky Dallum Helps Kick Off the ALS Business Community Challenge

On February 9, Tonkon Torp partner Rocky Dallum was a featured speaker, helping the ALS Association kick off its 2021 Business Community Challenge. During the virtual kickoff event, Rocky spoke about his personal journey with ALS; he shared the impact of his mother’s battle with the disease when he was a teenager and reflected on the support he has received from the local ALS community. Rocky currently serves as Vice President of the Board of Directors for the Oregon and SW Washington Chapter of The ALS Association.

The Business Community Challenge invites local business members to reach out to their professional and personal contacts and raise $2,500 towards a collective goal of $100,000 in donations for this year’s virtual Walk to Defeat ALS. The Walk, to be held on May 15, 2021, is the Association’s national signature event and the chapter’s largest fundraising and awareness event. Since 2002, the Oregon and SW Washington chapter has raised over $8,500,000 statewide through the Walk to Defeat ALS to support those living with ALS in Oregon and SW Washington.

Rocky is a partner in Tonkon Torp's Government Relations & Public Policy Practice Group. He provides strategic counsel to businesses, nonprofits, and trade associations on public policy issues and advocates on their behalf within the state executive and legislative branches.
