Parna Mehrbani Speaks at Oregon State Bar Admission Ceremony

Tonkon Torp attorney Parna Mehrbani spoke at the admission ceremony for new members of the Oregon State Bar (OSB), held by the Supreme Court of Oregon on May 17. Parna addressed the new lawyers in her capacity as Chair of the Oregon Bench and Bar Commission on Professionalism. She shared her perspective about what professionalism entails, how to maintain professional standards with peers in challenging environments, and the benefits of continually seeking common ground and resolution during contentious disputes.

In addition to Parna, the speaker slate for the ceremony featured: Chief Justice Thomas A. Balmer; Justice Rebecca A. Duncan; Hon. Thomas Ryan, Chair of the Board of Bar Examiners; Jennifer Nicholls, Chair of the OSB New Lawyers Division; and Vanessa A. Nordyke, President of the OSB.
