Parna Mehrbani Shares IP Insight with Business for a Better Portland

Tonkon Torp partner Parna Mehrbani provided an intellectual property overview at the February 22 Boost Your Business Legal Update event hosted by Business for a Better Portland. Parna explored how trademarks, copyrights, patents, and trade secrets work to safeguard a company’s intellectual property. She provided insight into the differences between each category of IP, and how owners can use registration to protect and enforce their intellectual property rights.

Business for a Better Portland is a business organization that fosters collaborative relationships between the business community, nonprofit organizations, and government to make a positive difference by supporting equitable access to capital, safe and efficient transportation, and affordable housing.

Parna is a partner at Tonkon Torp and is Co-Chair of its Intellectual Property and Information Privacy & Security practice groups. Her practice is focused on intellectual property, trademark and copyright registration, licensing and enforcement, and advising on intellectual property portfolios for local, national, and international companies.
