On February 22, Tonkon Torp business immigration attorney Melany Savitt presented a deep dive into Form I-9 for attendees of the Oregon Bureau of Labor & Industries (BOLI) Wage and Hour/Payroll issues seminar.
Melany provided timely updates and tips on difficult Form I-9 completion situations for an audience of HR and payroll professionals. Using the current version of Form I-9, Melany walked attendees through the steps for completing the form. She shared examples of acceptable documentation and challenges that might arise for each section of the form. Melany also provided background on compliance and retention policies, and shared resources for locating additional information and tools.
