Jessica Morgan and Alex Tinker spoke on a panel of industry specialists to risk managers about the legal environment for cannabis-related business operators at the Western Regional Conference on September 18. During their panel, “Drug Money in the Age of Regulated Cannabis: How Close Can You Come Without Getting Burned?” Alex, Jessica, and a co-presenter shared insight into emerging state laws regulating recreational and medical cannabis, the current state of federal enforcement policy, and practical problems facing business owners and investors in the industry.
