On May 4, Tonkon Torp attorney Janet Neuman spoke at the Business Forum hosted by the Oregon Environmental Council, called “Drought and Floods in Oregon: Plan Now or Pay Later.” The event provided an opportunity for stakeholders in water resource issues to gather and discuss statewide water concerns.
Jan and Tom Byler, Director of the Oregon Water Resources Department, served as a panel of local water resource leaders to share their reactions to the insight provided by keynote speaker Robert Glennon, a national water resource expert and author of popular books on water, on how Oregon can learn from other states that have recently experienced major droughts and floods and plan now to get ahead of the problem.
