Gwen Griffith Talks Capital Accounts at IRS/Practitioners Forum

Tonkon Torp partner Gwen Griffith presented at the October 31, 2019 IRS/Practitioners Forum program hosted by the Oregon State Bar Taxation Section,  the Oregon Society of CPAs, and the IRS. Gwen’s presentation focused on partnership capital accounts—what they are (and are not), how to compute them, and why (and how) they matter in partnership tax practice. A participant in the IRS/Practitioners Forum said, “Great presentation! She’s the only person I know that could make this so interesting!”  

Gwen's tax practice includes advice to individuals, businesses, nonprofit entities, and local governments on federal and state tax issues. She is experienced in corporate, partnership, and individual taxation matters, as well as international tax. Gwen serves as the Chair of Tonkon Torp’s Tax & Employee Benefits Practice Group and is the author of several books on taxation and family wealth transfer. She is a sought-after speaker at conferences.
