On January 26, Tonkon Torp partner Drew Hagedorn provided a political forecast for NAOIP Oregon, the Commercial Real Estate Development Association. During the virtual briefing, Aquiles Suarez, the National SVP of Government Affairs at NAOIP provided the political outlook at the national level as the Biden administration and new congress settle in. Drew focused on the Oregon legislative landscape, and reviewed the numerous bills introduced to date that will impact the commercial real estate industry. He also noted the current political makeup of Oregon state representatives and senators, and the procedural challenges that will face a remote Oregon legislative session.
