Anna Sortun Named to Emerge Oregon Board

Tonkon Torp partner Anna Sortun has been named to the board of directors of Emerge Oregon, which offers training programs for Democratic women in Oregon who aspire to elected offices.

 

Sortun is a partner in Tonkon Torp’s Litigation Department. Her practice is focused on business litigation in the federal and state courts, as well as in alternative dispute venues. In addition to her extensive trial experience, Sortun has handled matters for clients at the administrative and appellate levels. Sortun is a 2004 graduate of the University of Oregon Law School. She was named as a “Rising Star” in business litigation by Super Lawyers in 2013, 2014, and 2015.

 

Emerge Oregon is part of a 14-state network that seeks to identify, train, and encourage Democratic women to run for office, get elected, and to seek higher office. It provides an intensive, cohort-based seven-month training program with the goal of increasing the pool of highly qualified candidates.
