Tonkon Torp partner Jessica Morgan has joined the Board of Directors for NuLeaf Project, a nonprofit organization that addresses equity hurdles for underserved cannabis businesses.
Jessica is Co-Chair of Tonkon Torp’s Financial Services Practice Group, where she advises pooled investment funds, private equity funds, financial institutions, and investment advisers on regulatory, securities, and general corporate matters. She also advises businesses in the cannabis industry on regulatory compliance matters.
NuLeaf provides funding for cannabis businesses, skill-building and mentoring for entrepreneurs and professionals, and national and state equity policy development and advocacy. It prioritizes funding businesses owned by people from communities disproportionately harmed by cannabis criminalization: African American, Native American, and Latina/o/x.
