Four Tonkon Torp partners have been named by Best Lawyers in America 2020 as Portland Lawyer of the Year in their specialties. In each community, only one lawyer per specialty is honored as Lawyer of the Year by the peer-review survey.

Tim’s practice focuses on Chapter 11 corporate reorganizations, workouts, debtor-creditor law, and commercial litigation for clients across a broad spectrum of industries.
Sherrill counsels clients on buying and selling businesses, forming joint ventures, raising capital, and other general business matters.
Brenda focuses on securities law including venture capital financings, mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, public and private offerings of securities, and state and federal regulation of securities.
Tom specializes in securities and corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, public offerings, and private placements. General corporate counseling is an important part of his practice.
