On April 24, Tyler Harkness was a featured panelist at Unlocking Blockchain for Business Leaders, a training event hosted by the Portland State University Center for Executive and Professional Education. Tyler joined a panel of experts who explored how blockchain technologies can solve business challenges and support growth goals. Tyler spoke specifically about how state and federal laws have been developing in response to the technology in recent years, and about Initial Coin Offerings and their relationship to startup capital raising and related federal and state securities laws.
Tyler is a member of the firm's Entrepreneurial Services, Corporate Finance, and Mergers & Acquisitions practice groups. He has served on the Oregon Entrepreneurs Network’s Board of Directors for a number of years and he and his colleagues in the Entrepreneurial Services Practice Group are actively engaged in Portland’s startup community. Tyler’s practice includes advising startup companies — in connection with their financing efforts and general business matters — and established businesses.
