Alex Tinker Speaks on OSB Cannabis Section Panel

On March 18, Alex Tinker was a featured panelist at the monthly CLE luncheon hosted by the Cannabis Law Section of the Oregon State Bar. The panel, “Lessons and Experience from the Oregon Civil RICO Cases,” discussed the potential exposure and effects of private federal civil racketeering claims on state-licensed cannabis businesses. Tonkon Torp currently represents 88 clients in their defense of ongoing civil RICO claims, and has resolved two prior civil RICO cases without any payment to plaintiffs from Tonkon's clients.

Alex is Co-Chair of the firm’s Cannabis Industry Practice Group. He represents individuals and companies doing business in the cannabis industry, and advises clients on cannabis laws, regulations, and other cannabis-specific legal issues. Alex’s business litigation practice includes helping clients resolve business disputes in and out of court. He represents individuals and companies on a variety of claims, including contract disputes, business owner disputes, and business torts.
