In May, Tonkon Torp and its staff contributed $3,200 to the Multnomah Bar Association’s 15th Annual CourtCare Campaign.
Stephanie Grant, an associate in Tonkon Torp’s Litigation Department, led the firm’s internal fundraising effort for CourtCare and raised $2,220 in individual donations. Tonkon Torp also made a $1,000 corporate donation to the cause.
CourtCare is a program coordinated by the Multnomah Bar Foundation. It provides free childcare services in the downtown and East Multnomah County Courthouses for children age six weeks through ten years old while their parents conduct court business. Operated by Volunteers of America Oregon, CourtCare serves around 100 children and their families every month. The program has served over 16,000 children and their families since opening its doors in December 2001.
